Systems design for language, at scale. Content strategy, governance, and AI-assisted tooling for teams who've outgrown "just wing it."
Hi! I’m Amanda — a systems designer and recovering "just let me fix this one sentence" copywriter 🤓
Somewhere around my fifth style guide, I realized the real work was never the sentence. It was the system: the rule the sentence follows, the tool that checks it, and the team that keeps the whole thing from quietly rotting six months later.
So that's what I build now: content standards, terminology systems, AI-assisted compliance tooling, and the cross-functional buy-in to make any of it stick.
I've got a decade-plus of content strategy, copywriting, and copyediting underneath all of this — which is exactly why the systems work holds up. You can't design good guardrails for language you don't actually know how to write.
When I'm not building content systems, I'm usually at Muttville Senior Dog Rescue — cleaning the space, walking dogs, and giving them all the cuddles they deserve.
Systems & taxonomy design: turning "Does this sound right?" into a rule teams and AI agents can actually apply consistently
AI-assisted tooling: building the guardrails that let AI generate content on-brand and at scale, without replacing human judgment
Team & bench building: hiring, onboarding, and growing writers, content designers, and editors who need minimal oversight to do great work
Content governance: auditing, reconciling, and documenting standards that survive contact with reality
Cross-functional leadership: driving decisions through engineering, localization, legal, and product — with or without a title to back it up
